Color Theory

Join award winning quilter Kim Olmedo in a class that will introduce you to the basics of the color wheel and various color schemes. We will take a look at fabric and learn about color, pattern, and how to choose fabric for different color schemes. Then you'll get to put what you've learned about color and fabric selection when you learn how to make a sawtooth star. You will learn easy methods for making half square triangles and flying geese. Throughout, you will have the chance to play with different tools to help with color selection and sewing technique. You will have the chance to make six different sawtooth stars that you can arrange as a table runner, wall hanging, or the basics for a larger quilt. You'll even see how you can use the leftover parts from making flying geese, so there is no waste.
