The Log Cabin block is an easy one to do and there are various methods to do it. It is rich in history, dating back to the pioneer days. The method I like to use is one devised by Eleanor Burns. In the past, I have had students complete enough blocks to go home and put their quilt together. In this class you can make blocks for as large a quilt as you want. The many ways to put log cabin blocks together are numerous and each way produces a beautiful finished quilt. The fabrics you choose to use can make this a quilt to fit YOUR home ? use reproduction fabrics, batiks, fabrics from todays designers, children?s prints.
The photos show two table runners and a queen size quilt to give you some ideas. Come and try this method and we think you will love it.
